We are TOEIC Public Test Centre!

Japan Centre Australia (Big Bridge International) is registered as a TOEIC Public Test Centre since 2011. The dates of public tests are specifically arranged by the TOEIC test organisation, allowing any students who need and want to take the test at our centre conducting the test. Because we are a Public Test Centre, an official certificate issued by ETS is provided with the test results for each examinee.

What is the official TOEIC test?

This is a test that measures your listening and reading English proficiency. TOEIC is a global benchmark for English communication skills in the workplace, trusted and used by 14,000 organizations in over 160 countries around the world. TOEIC scores are important factors in making hiring decisions. The TOEIC® Listening and Reading Test is a test that measures English proficiency fairly and objectively, and is mainly used for further education, job hunting, internal promotion, career advancement, etc.

Test format and structure

The official TOEIC test is a test in which you answer 200 questions in total over 2 hours, with listening (45 minutes,100 questions) and reading (75 minutes, 100 questions). Each test is worth 5 to 495 points, with a total score of 10 to 990 points, and the scores are calculated in increments of 5 points through statistical processing. The test format is the same every time, divided into listening parts 1-4 and reading parts 5-7, and all answers are written on a multiple choice answer sheet. The test is only in English.

Part1 Photo description questions 6 questions

Four short descriptions of one photo are played once. The question is to choose the one that best describes the photo.

Part2 Response questions 25 questions

One question or sentence and three answers are played once each. The question is to choose the most appropriate answer for the question.

Part3 Conversation questions 39 questions

A conversation between two or three people is played once. The question is to listen to the conversation, read the questions and answers on the test paper, and choose the most appropriate answer from the four answers. There are also questions that require you to answer by relating what you heard in the conversation to information you saw in a diagram or other image on the test paper. There are three questions for each conversation.

A relatively long narration is played once. The question is to listen to each talk, read the questions and answers printed on the test paper, and choose the most appropriate answer from the four answers. Some questions require you to connect what you heard during the talk with the information you saw in the diagrams printed on the test paper. There are three questions for each talk.
